Following the KILLER INN reveal in early June, the team at Square Enix and Tactic Studios are finally announcing the Closed Beta, letting you play the murder mystery action game this weekend. Let’s find out more about it!

KILLER INN (KI) is the new action and murder mystery title from the team at Tactic Studios and Square Enix. A development team founded in 2007 behind Immortal Empire (2015) and Claire de Lune (2021). With KI, they’re delivering an asymmetrical multiplayer game that combines an investigative formula with an action component.

KILLER INN: How to Join the Closed Beta This Weekend

With the reveal of KILLER INN at the Summer Game Fest 2025, the team at Square Enix and Tactic Studios are finally unveiling the details for the Beta. Announcing on 22 July 2025 the dates for the Beta to try out the new murder mystery and action game. It will take place on:

• 25 July 2025 at 3:00 pm PT/ 6:00 pm ET and 26 July at 12:00 am CEST
• 28 July 2025 at 2:59 pm PT / 5:59 pm ET / 23:59 CEST

This gives you the chance to try the game this very weekend. You can join the Beta by simply requesting access on the game’s official page on Steam. You’ll get a notification if you’re accepted.

KILLER INN Beta: Playtest Details

Along with the announcement, the team also shared some details about the Beta. Reminding us that KILLER INN is a game still in development and this first Beta is designed as a stress test for the game’s network system. Also, here are the system requirements for the Beta (not final):

Minimum – Target 1080p at 30 fps

• CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 / Intel Core i5-7500
• GPU: AMD RX 5500 XT 8GB / NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB
• RAM and Disk Space: 16 GB RAM and 75 GB (SSD)

Recommended – Target 1080p at 60 fps

• CPU: Ryzen 5 5500 / Intel Core i7-9700K or i5-10600
• GPU: AMD RX 5700 / NVIDIA RTX 2060 SUPER
• RAM and Disk Space: 16 GB RAM and 75 GB (SSD)
